​Welcome to the world of Dressmaking and Tailoring!

​What is DRESSMAKING?
Dressmaking is defined as the craft of sewing clothes and dresses. An example of dressmaking is the art of sewing a beautiful dress from fabric.

​This Module is an exploratory and introductory course on Dressmaking/Tailoring which covers five competencies that includes:
​Use of sewing tools;
                       1. Carry out measurements and calculations;
                       2. Create design for simple project;
                       3. Perform basic maintenance, and
                       4.Practice occupational safety and health

​These 5 common competencies are covered separately in 5 Lessons. As shown below, each Lesson is directed to the attainment of one or more learning outcomes:

Lesson 1 – Use of sewing tools
